Professional Home Health Care Services in Aurora, Colorado
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) refers to long-term medical equipment prescribed by a physician for repeated use in the home. DME helps individuals manage illness, injury, or disability while improving quality of life and maintaining independence. To qualify as DME, equipment must be durable (able to withstand repeated use), serve a medical purpose, and not be useful to someone without a medical condition.
At Little’s Loving Home Services, we provide access to quality DME supplies and assist clients in obtaining the equipment they need through Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance coverage.
For DME to be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance, it must meet specific criteria:
Medicare Part B: Covers DME at 80% after deductible when medically necessary and ordered by a physician. You pay 20% coinsurance.
Health First Colorado (Medicaid): Covers medically necessary DME for eligible recipients. Prior authorization may be required for certain equipment.
We assist with insurance verification and prior authorization to maximize your coverage benefits.
For clients receiving home care services through Little’s Loving Home Services, we coordinate DME needs with your care plan:
